Be able to sing good enough to show people my songs

I sang some one night for my girlfriend- She said I hit on the nail the slow parts of Iced Earth’s “A Question of Heaven,” the heavy parts I still need works in spots. I also sang Merciful Fates “Night of the Unborn” and sounded exactly like him so I’m making progress at singing other people’s songs at least.

getting better and I’ve even started ‘trying’ to harmonize my vocals and they sound alright. I also realize I sound quite good without music but the first time I record a new song it is usually out of place and sounds pretty bad.

My laptop messed up but I got it back about a week ago and have started singing much more since it records it, my girlfriend no longer laughs at me so I think I’m moving up.

A song I’ve been working on since I first started actually sounded good for once. The Verses and Choruses have a harmony on one guitar and a rhythm on the other and it sounded horrible most the times I tried but for once I thought some of it was kickass. I’ve now recorded about 35 full songs worth and plan on working on the same ten or so tonight.

I have recorded more than 20 songs this month and I can finally tell if I’m in tune and when I am not a lot better. I still have a weak clean voice in most songs but in some it sounds fine. My heavy metal vocals are weak (when I actually sing and not do the deep voice vocals). But I am progressing and plan on recorded 7 to 10 songs tonight.

I can actually sing and not grimace, but even enjoy some parts but others still need work and the person I show all my music to is away right now.

better still but not recording finished- haven’t really got the correct pitch for a complete song and it only takes some work.

I have recorded about 20 different songs worth of stuff (one song I have sung over 15 times since I begun and two others at least more than 5 times) and have recorded a whole CD in one sitting but the songs weren’t really where I wanted but I’m getting closer.

getting much better and have picked up quite a bit but I am experimenting and seeing all my boundaries as of right now
