I kind of enjoy cleaning up and organizing, but my 4 year old keeps unorganizing, and she’s faster than me.
But I’m proud of having accomplished the following:
1) Donated all the kids’ outgrown clothes to charities or people who needed them.
2) Snuck large bags of toys the kids never play with to Goodwill when they weren’t looking.
3) Organized my daughter’s closet.

And my husband actually cleaned up his office!!!! Now I’m really inspired to do something about the rest of the house…

Iced in, and no chance of going anywhere. Good progress with the organizing, though! My son and I cleaned out his desk, got rid of unneccesary junk lurking in the depths of his drawers, and organized the rest. He was delighted to rediscover long-lost treasures. Organized his closet as well.
Made some slight progress with the lego situation downstairs.

Well, I cleaned out my daughter’s closet and got rid of the clothes she has outgrown, the purple rocking horse she is too big for (kleenex! I need kleenex! Snifff….). I cleaned up her room in general, too. Looks good in there. Now if people will just stop giving her party bags with little useless thingamajigs….
Cleaned out the kids’ movies. Caught sight of something alive-ish in the fridge. Note to self: Clean fridge at some point.
Son’s room next. It’s pretty clean on the surface, but all kinds of stuff is lurking in his desk.
And then the BIG task: Downstairs. The unhappy combination of family room and husband’s office. The biggest lego collection known to humankind, and the office of a man who likes stacks of cardboard boxes. Together. And this is the only room in which to fit an exercise bike, which we will purchase as soon as there is space for it. AAAARGH.
(Slight progress: Son helped me organize the instructions to his lego sets in two thick binders, by topic and serial numbers. He was very pleased with the result.)
