The knowing

It has been a straight 2 months of no sky for us here. There were no particular clouds to be seen since the whole sky was covered by one big massive cloud. It was grim and gray and very depressing for some people.

I, on the other hand, felt so connected with it (the sky, that is). Knowing that behind all the grim and dull there is infinite amounts of crisp blue made me feel like I have a hidden friend just a smile away.

It was/is a good feeling.
I didn’t get depressed at all.
:-)

What do you do when there are no clouds?

Today the whole sky is one big giant cloud. It’s grim and dull outside. It feels like a Dickens novel…. therefore I’m posting a pic of one of my favorite types of clouds- to cheer myself up.

I’m no expert but if I’m not mistaken this type is called : cumulonimbus.

When I was little (4-5 years old) I was dead sure there’s a castle somewhere inside it and a princes and a whole different world of fairy people dressed in white. Sometimes I would even go as far as think that I was a long lost princes of one such cloud that fell on the ground amongst the regular folk when she was a baby.

Other times, mostly in the summer and while driving to the seaside, I would just play “tell a story” with my sister – “see what each cloud resembles and combine it all in a story”. No need to say that stories got pretty crazy with dragons and rabbits and funny gnome men running around….

P.S. I still play the same game in my head when in the car…. :)
