InshaAllah memorize the Quran

Still working on it.I have 15 surahs.

I have Al-Qari-’ah and Shams alhamdoallah. My friend gave me wonderful gift, a little ipod thing w/Quran on it.

I learned to read in Arabic alhamdoallah. I’m working on ‘Al-Qari-’ah and Shams.

Have An Asr, Al Faliq, almost Al Fil. i love Alasr,inalilsallifihasl.Ilaalidinaaminu wa amilu asalihati watawasal bil haqi watawasal bil sabr. I think it is my favorite surah. New study method…I am listening to juz ama on CD. I try to listen every day.

Memorized Al-Hamaza, now working on Al-Zalzala.

Well it seems my progress is one short sura every four months. I think this is not my best effort. But I don’t want to put my goal so high that I blow it. And alhamdoallah I have not lost any sura I have completed. But it is funny, I lost every one I memorized partially. So my goal really is Juz Amma.I have Al- Maun, An-Nas, Al-Ikhlas, and of course Al-Fatiha. Now we are supposed to have Al-Humazah by Saturday. I have aiyas 1 and 5. So only 7 aiyas left and they are really short so inshallah it will be OK. I memorised 4 suras so I will have four friends to comfort me in the grave. But I would rather have 114 walahi. I love quranexplorer.com does anyone else use that? Anyway my biggest obstacle is my illiteracy in Arabic. So I can see I need to devote more time to letter recognition, as I still mix up similar letter or do not recognize letters sometimes. I think the best thing for me is to get up before fajr to memorize. And to do that I have to go to bed earlier. And to do that I have to get off computer and clean the house NOW. lol!

We have been scolded for failing to memorise a whole surah in the first quarter of classes. Going to try harder inshallah. My tajweed teacher is very kind with me.

Now I have the first four ayas of Al Quariah. Also a sister is teaching a class on Tajweed, I went to my first class and I feel very lost but inshallah it will help me alot.

It’s really hard. Our class is taught by a 15 year old kid who has memorised the entire quran. We failed to memorise the first 4 aiya and now we have to memorise the first 8 before the week after next. I’m going to try really but I find it really hard so far. I wish we were still going backwards from the end. The kid is a good teacher. But we are not very clever students ) :

I still have An Nas! I believe it is really memorised inshallah. Now in my kid’s class they decided to go from Al Qari’ah in order to the end instead of backwards from An Nas.So I need to have the first four aiyas by Sunday. So far I have the first two. If you know this surah you know this is not very impressive memorisation, but for me I am happy with my progress.
