Cheryl has written 1 entry about this goal

motivated :)

I feel as if I’m incredibly busy yet I find myself with extra time on my hands often.
I used to read the bible daily or a few times per week at least. I thought I’d have some time today to begin reading again. my method is to read, take notes, pray before and after, really think about it and ask questions to myself or others who may know, and of course DO something to model what I learned. sounds like a lot, but if I’m not doing that, then why read the Bible at all? God has done so much for me,

i am studying altruism in my social psych class and they are asking why do people do prosocial behavior. I think the main reason is because God did it first! the other theories are so pessimistic and negative, we have to keep in mind our basic instinct instilled to help others, yes it makes us feel good but that is not my motivation, whatsoever. i guess it would be hard to put altruism in a vacuum and essentially accidentally help others, without purpose. hm.
