Hike the triple crown (Appalachian Trail 2000 miles, Pacific Crest Trail 2800 miles, Continental Divide Trail 3000+ miles).

I also want to ride my bicycle across North America. I’ve been across Canada twice on the ViaRail train, and about 15 times across the U.S. on Amtrak. I’ve driven across both the U.S. and Canada dozens and dozens of times. I just like to keep moving along. I’ve done bits and pieces of the AT and PCT. I’ve done a lot of hiking in Olympic National Park, in Washington State. I’ve done some backpacking in Australia, Japan, France, England. I’ve been on the Trans-Siberian Rails. I’m just not ready to commit to months of hiking, far from home… yet. I have to admit, I am a little intimidated by all those miles on foot alone, with resources scattered. I read, A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. I know what happened to him! =)
