Social marketing 1 month ago

I have been reading extensively about SOCIAL MEDIA througout 2009.
I want to do something with social media in Sudan, but this is a country that resists anything remotely serious – on the internet at least. So doing anything about social media will not have great rewards.
That has set me thinking though.. I can write a book, not on social media but something really close..
Something I call SOCIAL MARKETING..
I have two case studies which I can chronicle and expand on..
I am finally passionately excited about the book project..

Just inspecting the publishing options 7 months ago

found this website lulu.com/uk that might make the dream possible.. now I have to start writing…

False starts 8 months ago

I had two false starts
The first in the beginning of 2008,
then in the beginning of this year.
I still want to do it

Making Business Fun 8 months ago

I also want to write something different than what is on offer.
I am working for myself in a family business as well as on my own.
It is great to have all this freedom but the responsibility is daunting sometimes.
How to stay motivated despite everything ?
Sometimes you get so wound up you drive yourself sick out of tension.

The book (or a collection of tips) is along the line of making business fun, even for people who don’t own their businesses.
I am currently doing this via a weekly radio show, which is much easier than writing a book
(the show is three years old – which is an achievement in itself)

I am reading a Seth Godin book “Small is the new big” and his “riffs” are definately resonating with what I am thinking (and going through).
I definatelty think what I do in marketing is story telling, it is more compelling to see it that way.
I want a more fitting job title to what I do (giving corporations voice and stories to connect with their audience).
I suppose the job title “Brilliance Consultant” is a step in the right direction.
