I love taking photographs, but when I am with a group and I see an excellent ‘photo opportunity’, I feel uncomfortable stopping the group to capture the moment. Slowly, the uncomfortable-ness is fading away as I become more confident in my abilities and desire to take pictures. The world is simply too colorful to be ignored by my lens!

Took over 200 pictures this weekend at ‘Apple Hill’, a community of apple ranches in the foothills outside of Placerville, CA. Had a great time with my Sister and boyfriend and was pleased with most of the photo results!
The new (via e-bay) Sony DSC u30 came last night! Yay!
This little guy is perfect for impulsive picture taking-a feature that will allow for more spontenaity!
Because my family is compulsive about photographic documentation and exploration, my mother especially, we have a unique rule. When we are out together, if you see something/someone/etc that you’d like to photograph, you can shout out ‘photo opportunity!’ and the rest of the group will stop and wait for you to take your photographs (no questions asked).
I need to embace the photo opportunities in my life and stop being afraid to take pictures!
