So I got my tuition reimbursement (2,400) and decided to pay it to my 24% interest credit card. The balance on that card is down to 1,300 and I can now breathe again. Since I’m not taking classes for another 3-4 months, I can play games with them and pay them maybe in the fall. By then I could pay them cash or use a lower rate card.
One day I will be free from the grips of these Shylocks.
In the middle of February my credit score was 667. I checked again yesterday and it’s 697. Somebody is taking note. With my credit rating getting better, I have to now resist the temptation of opening up an Apple account.
OK, the Apple account is definitely going to happen (that is good debt – since I’m going to be using it to make money). Hopefully, these students I’m working with don’t screw with me.
Looking good.
I payed off one credit card yesterday…feels good. I plan an moving balances into 0% interest shelters and then aggressively peying them off. This will be the year of where I see my money stay with me.
To you who are trying to do the same, find a way to avoid paying the interest, so all your payment go towards principal.
We shall overcome the evil credit card empire.
