I feel like I’m doing pretty good at this one. My main fear right now is the fear of violence, the fear of getting hurt.
And I just remind myself that I don’t have to endure this. Ever. If things go sour, if anything ever happens again, I can just leave. Really, I can. It’s not like I want to. We have something good as well.
But I’m not from a culture where I am expected to suffer. We all have a choice. There’s no need to be afraid.
