Slowly coming out of my shell 7 months ago

This is something I really need to do – I’ve never been good at making friends, and tend to expect others to reach out to me, rather than the other way round. I’ve been getting better recently, after finally waking up to the fact that things aren’t going to change unless I’m willing to put some effort in, but I still need to work at it and improve my social skills.
