I think my favorite exercise/toning/weight loss phrase is “I’ve kinda been slacking.” lol..I’m always kinda slacking when it comes to exercise. But I have been doing this workout for the past couple weeks. I probably do it 3 times as week. As for the walking and crunches go..well ya know…shit happens! But I have been doing yoga and pilates, not regularly though. And the work out I do is like an aerobics video where I walk in place and do lunges and squats and a few other exercises. So I guess I’m improving little by little. Gotta get toned for Florida though!!

Ok..first of all, they quit playing that video I was using from my cable network! I really did like it, even if it was really hard. But no excuses, I really need to do this. I’ve already lost a little over 20 pounds so I think it’s definitely time for me to start trying to tone up.
And summer is coming too..it’s DEFINITELY TIME.
Walking, crunches, lunges, and pilates here I come!!
I started my workout at 3:15 A.M. last night. I just kinda felt like working out. And I need to do it tonight but it is so freakin COLD!! Yea we have the heat on but there is no heat upstairs(it was built on and the dummies didn’t run heat or air up there) So my mom has the heat on like 74 but it seems like it all goes up stairs or something..it definitely doesn’t warm the whole house. And I’m freeezzzzingg!! Anyway the point is it’s too damn cold and I’m bout to crawl in my nice warm cozy bed.
I decided that even after I was so tired after the workout last night and I was sweating and breathing hard, I was still going to do it again tonight. So I came home from work about 10:50. I was hungry so I stir fried broccoli, carrots and chicken and watched the Tyra Show. Then I got in the floor and flipped the tv to the workout. It was much worse last night but please believe it still was FAR from easy!! I was still struggling. I think I’ll have to do it every day for 2 or 3 weeks before I get good like the people in the workout.
And I woke up this morning definitely feeling the after effects. I’m sore..in my arms, my thighs, abs..all of it. But still I like the burn so I will definitely keep up with it. Umm..I’m not sure about the EVERY day part but at least 4 times a week.
With our cable network there’s this thing where you can do different exercises like yoga, pilates, aerobics, tai-chi, and other things that focus on specific areas. Well I decided tonight I felt like doin pilates. So I got on the tv and went to the pilates section and decided I felt like doing something else. I didn’t have a whole lot of time to spend so I found an abs workout that was 17 minutes long. I don’t even know what it was called.. But one thing I do know..that shit was HARD!! I started around midnight cuz the Tyra Show had just went off. The instructor introduced herself and went straight into the exercises. She wasn’t playing no games! I literally broke a sweat..within the first exercise. Now I’m not in the best shape but c’mon now..the first exercise yall!! But I liked her techniques so I pushed myself through the burning. In like the 3rd exercise I was SERIOUSLY FEELING THE BURN. I looked at the clock and it was only 12:07! I was already sweating hard and I was breathing like a runaway slave! But I kept going and going until I made it to the end. Then I went to my room and sat up on my bed. But it was kinda like I couldn’t control my abs and my body just fell out on the mattress! Real talk I think that was the hardest workout I’ve ever done in my life.
Anyway..the point to this whole long story is I really enjoyed this workout even if it was the hardest one I’ve ever done. I was thinking to myself “Damn this is really hard maybe I should do this every night.” I can feel my ab muscles working superhard! I think this is definitely the workout I need to tone my stomach. I’ll get to the arms and legs too though. But hell I’m tired now. I’m bout to drink some water and go to bed!

I think I’m going to take up pilates again..only seriously this time. I always did it for fun. I know it really helps tone up your tummy. I never did it enough to actually tone my tummy but I always ALWAYS felt the burn..for like 3 days later!
And for my legs..it’s way too cold to be walking or running outside. So I think when I open my gym membership back up I’m going to get back on the elliptical and the treadmill. And at home I’ll try to do squats and other legs workouts.
I’m so weak in my arms. It’s terrible. I can do like 50 pounds on the butterfly machine at the gym. I can’t do push ups at all. My arms really suck lol.. I’ll start small like 3-5 lb weights with my other exercises. I’m actually starting small with all these toning exercises..I don’t want pull anything! But we’ll see where this is going!
