This option is feasible if you live in the USA (or can afford a VISA) AND you can pay for the course. The name of the school is Middlebury College, and it is in Vermont. Trust me: you WILL learn how to speak Arabic there. It is during summer (beautiful time to be in Vermont), the staff and faculty are amazing, and the food at school is actually great! If you opt for this, keep in mind a couple of things (I learned the hard way): (1) There will be more work than you expected, and (2) Aside from the language, you will learn a lot of humility. You will be wrong not once, but many times along the way. With this said, IT IS SOOOO WORTH DOING!

This is such a beautiful language, isn’t it? I also have the problem that once I returned from abroad there was no one to practice with. Thus I do feel I’ve lost a lot of what I learned. I did discover, however, that listening to news and attempting to read an arabic book is helping re-gain my skills in the language. Anyone has any more tips?
