My idea of a life partner is basically not falling in love or getting married. People do fall in love however it takes two to tango, the partner should be in love as well with the person at the same level so both can enjoy a fruitful and happy relationship. The question is, for how long?
In marriage, two people find only security on paper, but it does not justify a strong relationship. I congratulate all couples who have enjoyed the fruits of marriage and family and it gives my heart a great joy to see old couples walking in parks, on a bus, in church who has been married for more than 30 years and stay as sweet as they had been when they were teenagers. Holding each others’ hand, smiling at each other and looking through each others’ eyes with fulfillment and happiness and thanking God that they are with the person sharing their whole life with full of love and joy. I also grieve with the people who have gone through a bad marriage.
A life partner should be a companion, a best friend, a sister, a mom all in one. And a person should also be able to give the same role to the other. By this, you can get mutual benefits from what you give specially love, trust and respect. Then true love will naturally be developed. And when destiny finally decides that they should be together, then comes marriage to spend, commit and devote your life to her forever.
