it’s high time I marked this “done”. I’ve been taking photos almost all the time since having this goal on my list, and since I got my new camera, seems like I can’t stop :)
Maybe in time I’ll add a goal like “take 43 photos of this or that”, but I have to think about it.
Have to open a Flickr account soon, I’m really proud of some of my work and want to share.

We were cleaning out the office these last couple of days and found loads and loads of crap, but also some very interesting stuff. One of those was this old russian type writer. I have never seen one like this before and my boss didn’t seem to mind me taking out my camera in the middle of all that mess.:)
I like this one because it looks like this tree grew little fingers all over the branches to touch all the skies it could, to penetrate and absorb as much as possible…
Quite a typical skyline in this so called industrial town. Shame to think the trees were brought down to make room for the industry and now industry is being brought down to make room for stupidity, greed and petty interests.
Taken from in front of the town hospital.
That’s what we say in my language when the skies are this colour, but it also suggests something hard, heavy, cold, slightly threatening…
I think it works well with these buildings.
(pronounced “poost”) is a doll (about the size of an average adult) that is hung on a post or a tree, even a crane, in almost every village around the town where I live usually on St.Anthony’s day (January 17th) and is left hanging all through the carnival days. Every village where they hang “him” up has a different theme, every year, but with one thing in common: Pust represents everything bad that’s happened to the people of the village. It can be related to just about anything-politics, economics, natural causes, anything that the locals feel wronged by. Pust is always given a name according to the reason “he” is hung for.
Day before or on Ash Wednesday Pust is tried and burned, and sometimes dealt with in some even more creative ways, in order to punish the evildoers.
This one hangs in a village in the mountain region, but I couldn’t find out what were his “sins”.
so beautiful I didn’t mind getting out of the car into the freezing cold to take this photo. If only photos could bring sounds with them…
We brought them home today, but the bag broke just as we entered the living room. I thought they looked kind of nice scattered on the floor.
and posting them right here.
Now my PC is bask from the shop, I can shift all the photos from my camera onto it, and start photographing again.
Looking through some of my old photos last night, I was surprised to see how good they were.
