get a scholarship

Got AU$64000 [ie 64 grand], yeehaw.

I find out in 3 more days on Tuesday whether or not I have officially received the scholarship and go to a uni which is 2 minutes walk from my house. It’s quite convenient since I have to do uni for 4-5 years for the course.

Future and current students [in Australia] should look into the variety of scholarships which may be available to them, even if you think you won’t get it. I know that with each university I’ve spoken to they have had scholarships which were never given away because only a few people applied for them.

Therefore you should always give it a shot! You never know if you’ll get it or not.

I’ve applied to a scholarship to a University which is literally 2 minutes walk away from where I live (yay, bonus), and it’s also a [very] highly regarded university in Australia. The degree that I want to do [Law/Commerce] costs AU$131,040 and the scholarship will pay for half of it. That is aloooot of money, and for the other half I can take out an interest free loan.

So far the final candidates for the scholarship is 2 people (including me), and I’ll find out the results in 5 weeks time!
