I’m an Australian born Serbian [meaning I was born in Australia from two Serbian parents] and strangely enough I only know the most basic of serbian. I can never hold a conversation that lasted more then two words on my part and telephone conversations with relatives I avoid like the plague [unless they speak english].
Quite frankly it’s embarrassing [I’m 17] and I’m going to try and make more ‘talk time’ with my parents. We’re possibly going to Serbia next year, so I don’t want to look like a complete idiot. If that isn’t enough motivation I don’t know what is. Hehe.
I’m going to speak of my [quite obvious] plan to my parents tonight/tomorrow.
