I don’t eat out very often at all, and haven’t really tried many kinds of food apart from Chinese, English, Italian and Indian. So for my birthday, I thought I’d start changing that.
With recommendations from other Londoners on AskMetafilter and a bit more research on the internet, I ended up taking friends to a Japanese restaurant called Ten Ten Tei. I’d never had Japanese food before, neither had my friends, so it was a completely new experience. I really enjoyed it – some of the food was fantastic, some tasted strange and different, but it was fun because it was all new. I wish I could tell you what I actually liked, but it’s hard to remember the names! I’ll have to have Japanese food a few more times before I can remember the names I think. (from what I can remember though, I liked the… miso soup? Udon? And some of the sushi? But not so much the wasabi? I may have all these names wrong though :) )
