- called a friend today, who’s leaving on a 3 months pelgrimage, to wish him a wonderful journey.
- rang the doorbell at my neighbours house and asked him how his exams went.

A few days ago I let the dog out, on an gray, rainy morning. I decided to walk to my po box, which is a short walk to the big post office in the main street of the citycentre. It wasn’t a beautiful morning; the weather was autumn-like and it was pick up-day for the garbage, so garbage filled the streets. People were hasty cycling towards the train station, their work or college. The buses were full and the air was filled with their smell.
At a certain moment I stood still. I felt so grateful. I looked at it all, wondering, while I did not understand it at all. What is this? Life is such a miracle! I felt so grateful that I was (and am) able to be a part of it. Buddha showed his face. Or, for Christians, Look what God has done!
I took a deep breathe, feeling so very much alive, and continued my walk..
I hope I translated it correctly:
“Every human being has to assume that the future of mankind depends on his actions and thoughts on this very moment.”
Every human being… That means me.
