well very recently i’ve come across a particular vintage i am proud to own. it’s the 2003 Maehler Besse Chateau Picard Bordeaux. dropped from the LCBO list recently and undergone a reduction in price from $75 to only $32. i plan on picking up a few more bottles for an event over the weekend. mmmmm.

I recently had a discussion with a really cool soumallier (am i spelling that right?), she was really laid back and easy to talk with. i got into this really nice Bordeaux blend that day, and also a pretty nice ice wine. talking with her made me realize i know more about wine than i thought i did. maybe because i was raised in an area saturated with knowledgeable people, i didnt so much realize how much i had sponged off these people.
