Haven't had a good sleep for about 2 weeks now...  — 10 months ago

its going really rough, despite my best efforts to sleep: go to bed early, absinthe or red wine before bed, nothing seems to get me a nights rest. i honestly can’t figure it out. i clearly need to keep this goal on the board.

ANY ideas? anything i should try and do to get to sleep OK? I can toss and turn for 4 or 5 hours some nights before nodding off. I don’t drink very much coffee even, maybe one small cup at breakfast, sometimes one at lunch, and coffee doesn’t usually keep me up. what works? what’s wrong with me?

i will try anything (except warm milk: gross.)

i have been perpetually tired this week so far. so im going to nip in the butt and get down by 10 or so.

i just recently moved, the bed i have is so much more comfortable than any other i’ve had. i really cannot believe the difference it makes. i get a much deeper sleep i find. sleeping longer and sleeping earlier are a bit of a necessity in my new lifestyle: and getting up really early seems to help that a great deal: as much as i hate that idea.

I managed to get a great deal less sleep last night, than any other this past week. Even though i went to bed earlier, i was plagued by incredibly realistic dreams of my veritable worst nightmare, not the slasher type thing, but the kind of life circumstance that makes you drive yourself insane, its the worst kind of hell i can imagine, and I have a vivid memory of the whole thing. it doesnt help that i had this dream early on in the night, and kept waking up to think about it, and be plagued by it, im sure i’ll lose a great deal of sleep tonight on that account, TGIF.

about one hour ago, i took sleeping pills, we’ll see if they do any damn good. i kinda hope not, i dont want to get addicted.

I have always had problems with this. I’m almost constantly plagued by sleeplessness and insomnia, and the number of nights that i sleep restfully and soundly in a whole year, could be counted on a single hand. i think i just need to be more diligent in my daily routine to assist with this problem.
