Russian is a very difficult language, with a very complex grammar – but that’s not news to nobody.
I’m a language buff: I speak fluent Hebrew and English, and have learned throughout the years some Arabic, French, Yiddish and German. Until not so long ago, I thought the next language I’m gonna dive into would be Portuguese – I just adore the music of it.
But history brought me to marry a Russian-born wife, with parents whose English is not very fluent, and grandmothers with practically no English at all. With her friends I can manage – They do change to Hebrew from time to time for my sake.
I once bought a book called “Learn Russian joyfully without a teacher”. I telling you – This was no joy; I do need a teacher.
