and I have a new, awesome agenda. It must help! I like that I have lots of room to write in stuff and it’s no excuse for forgetting. I carry it as much as possible, even to non school/internship functions.
I need to get on a normal sleeping schedule, though.

Must sit down
and draw up a schedule for 4 (or 5) classes, one internship, and maybe one more internship on top of that. Add on top of that the time I really need to spend studying and going into campus to work on projects that I can’t do at home. Wow. Daunting!
:) Must stay positive…..

do things as soon as I get them or putting them on my to-do list so I always know what’s happening/due for the next 2-3 weeks. Since it’s now Week 7 of my quarter, that’s about 4 weeks so I have 4 weeks of stuff on my to-do list and once it’s all written out, it’s easier to see how to prioritize and where to place things.
It’s been going well for now…we’ll see. I always have my ups and downs. As soon as I slip and don’t do this, I’m pretty screwed. I’m tired of things building up and I’m tired of doing stuff last minute.
I’m working on my schedule for next quarter. I’m not extremely happy about it. I’m actually a little worried. I will figure it out more next week!

I drew up a list…of all the “side” projects I want to do in the next few months. I feel even MORE overwhelmed now. By “side” I mean non-academic, as academic projects take first priority, no arguments about it.
There are so many things I want and have to do….I don’t know where to start and what to sacrifice. I know I just have to take it slow but it seems I’m alternately in this static mode and this tripping over myself getting on with it mode, especially for school projects. It’s like I never leisurely stroll. I don’t want to be a boring person by “strolling” through life but I do not want to always feel like I have something to do. If it’s at that point, it’s not something that’s going to feel good.
Yet…so many things on my list!

I used to be a horrible procrastinator. It was fueled by the fact that I studied English as my major and I knew I could churn something out overnight and still get a decent grade. And then I realized I was harming my body. So in order to treat my body like a temple (one of my goals) which involves good and consistent sleeping habits, eating right and timely, I must manage the rest of my time well.
This is especially highlighted now that I attend a technical school for design. The work is CRAZY. I’ve never worked so hard in my life (of course, I’ve never cared as much either).
I have started planning meals (this is also to make sure I don’t buy extra food and then waste it, though) and I do lots of lists of what I do each day (homework/chores/etc) and then in between that, I schedule fun things to do with friends. :) It’s hard but it makes life a LOT less stressful. If I want to be spontaneous, it has to be within a time frame. Haha. Oh well…I just need to get BETTER at planning stuff out and not procrastinating that.
