start a blog

I started a tumblr! I am glad I went with tumblr. I’m sure I’d love any other choice I went with too but I do love the tumblr community. I feel so inspired when I look through the dashboard.

I do a lot of reflags mostly. For a while, I was trying to do a lot of my own creative work, but sad to say, my own creativity has been lacking. I do like to SHARE the really awesome stuff I find, though, so I reblog a lot. I’ll start posting more original things soon. That’s a promise I’m making.

I am aiming to do a blog that’s career and design related but I’m not sure how to intersect the personal with the professional. I don’t want to unwittingly say too much about my personal life because it’s not a rant space. I’m planning to use the blog as a place to voice my creative expressions, and show off any DIY projects I work on (with photos). I am still debating whether I want to put up book reviews (I probably will, of relevant books)...

I still have not sparked upon the perfect title yet. Boo….

I used to “blog” a lot…in the sense of personal anecdotes and a way for friends to keep track of one another. I’ve long stopped that…

But the kind of blog I want to start is more career-related. I want to do something that offers something fresh, something with my voice in it. Visually. I want to start taking photos of interesting things I see everyday and put it up to share with others. Things that inspire me might just happen to inspire others as well. I want to do more writing and more connecting with others.

I’m not quite sure if I’m going to use blogspot or wordpress but I’m leaning towards the former, just because it seems more in tune with the visual aspect, whereas wordpress is very word-heavy.
