Car repairs, house repairs, car repairs, house repairs. It is an endless cycle. I am still maintaining around $4,000 in my “emergency” fund. Luckily I started along this road….since we were able to deal with multiple emergencies. Now the air conditioner is shot and we are headed into a hot Texas summer.
My is back in school and it will be affordable tuition AND he is working!
I will have to dive into the emergency fund to pay for the A/C. Hopefully in 6 months I will be able to reseed the fund!

I am not quite half way there. I’d like to save $9,000.00 and I have $4,100. It is hard since I am spending more than I should still. I am not paying my son’s big university tuition, and I still CAN’T SAVE.

I have three months salary saved up, but actually, it is the small fund I set aside for my son’s college tuition. It doesn’t necessarily constitute an emergency fund, for me. Maybe it is an emergency fund for my son!
I’ll try and add more to this fund during 2008.

...except I was calling it my son’s college tuition fund.
Can I still count it if it really isn’t an emergency fund? Or is it?
