but then fell of the wagon. I got closer than I’ve ever been in my whole life this Summer. I started out just trying to bulk up bodybuilder style, and my abs definitely got a LOT bigger, but they were still covered by a layer of fat. So it just proves that you can “have” abs easily, and even really toned ones. They may just be under a layer of flab. ;).
The best way to get them showing is cardio exercise, and if they don’t look great after that and are kinda flat. Then strength train to get that “lumpy belly” look. But doing 100 sit-ups a night isn’t going to be anywhere near as effective as splitting workouts into 3 or even 2 core workouts a week. You gotta give your body rest and time to “grow” and repair.
