My gym instructor tells me when he was in the army, they also followed this strategy of adding one more per week, and after two years there were guys who did more than 100 pull-ups in a row… Yeah, right!!

In week 20 of 2006, I’ll be able to do 60 pull-ups now that I think of it, because I’ll be doing 3 sets of 20. This also means that I will reach the goal of doing 20 on 6 Feb 2006 (3 sets of 7), whereas Destonian will only reach this goal on 27 March 2006 (3 sets of 14), keeping in mind that 20 pull-ups for tall guys = 40 pull-ups for short guys.
I can imagine it will be quite tough keeping in mind my weight of 170 pounds. So, I’ll start of with 1 pull-up on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, then increase it with 1 every week, so in week 20 of 2006, I should be able to do 20 pull-ups.
