Well, since my last entry 4 months ago, I have continued to go to regular gym classes and work out at the gym on a regular basis. To date, I have lost 14 lbs! Now, from the time I originally posted this goal of losing 20 lbs I gained an additional 10 lbs on top of the 20 I wanted to lose. So now, I’m down 14 lbs but still have 16 lbs to go to reach the weight I want to be. My eating habits are a constant struggle. I need to continue to improve in this area.

Well, I haven’t posted anything regarding this goal for a long, long time. In December 2006, my work hired a cook for the month and I gained 6 lbs. I battled trying to lose weight in 2007 with no success. However, in October I started attending gym classes twice a week. I am trying to make a lifestyle change which includes getting active. In January, I attended Bootcamp twice a week and worked out at the gym at least two additional days per week. I haven’t seen much in terms of weight loss, however I am seeing a difference in my body and the way my clothes are fitting. I have joined Bootcamp again for February and I got a gym membership for February as well. I am determined to press on!!!
I was given a 3 Day Diet today that is supposed to give you a quick start with weight loss. I’m considering it, we’ll see.
Weighed in for the first time in a few weeks yesterday and the results were good! Much to my surprise, I have lost 3 lbs. Keep in mind that these are the same 3 lbs that I have lost/gained since January, but as of now they’re gone again. I am determined to keep walking and change my eating habits so that I can meet this goal.
Okay, I am really disgusted with my progress, or I should say, lack of progress with this goal. I have been walking since January and my weight has only remained the same, give or take a few pounds. I need to make another change in my lifestyle and see what happens. Obviously I am still eating too much or the wrong foods for my body to lose the extra weight.
Let’s just say this isn’t going very well. I haven’t weighed in for over a month; I just don’t want to see the number on the scale. I really need to focus on this issue and take action. It’s so hard!
Well, I had to check and see what the nutritional information was on the McDonald’s Junior Chicken Sandwich. I love the regular McChicken but I thought the Junior would be much lower in fat – WRONG, it has 20 grams!! Nothing like trying to sabotage yourself. Today must be my last one.
The scale tells me I’ve lost 1 lb. This motivates me to dive in this week and watch what I’m eating. I need more fruits and veggies (note to self to stop to grocery store after work).
Maybe, just maybe I’ve lost a little? I hope so, I’ve been walking a lot this week and I haven’t pigged out too much (not that I can recall). I’ll weigh myself on Monday; wish me luck.
10:30 pm: I gave into temptation tonight and ate a small bowl of chips and a bag of gummies. I really need to come up with a strategy to combat these cravings.
Not much success so far, actually no success so far. I am making some efforts to change my lifestyle however, such as walking regularly and eating more fruits and veggies. I will keep pushing forward. Any advice or encouragement is appreciated.
