Well after not doing much to change my eating habits in 2007, I am going to try to change in 2008. For the past while I have been eating salads. I like the green leaf lettuce and if I add lots of other things to the salad it’s not too bad. I find grapes and raisins add an interesting flavor as well as shredded cheese and eggs. I need to find some easy and simple recipes to help me in this area.

I’m not doing very well at all in this area for the last two weeks. I find that when stressed I want to eat junk food and my resolve has not been very strong. I need to make better choices.

to change my habits but it’s really hard. I did include frozen veggies with supper a couple of times this week and I had some fruit. I just have to keep changing, little by little.

I find myself struggling with making this lifestyle change. I love fruits, but I don’t love veggies. But with the extra work involved in eating healthy, I find myself time and again grabbing something packaged or frozen. I need to get creative and incorporate healthy eating into my daily routine.

I am really enjoying the mixed fruit bowls being sold at the local grocery store. It is very convenient to have the fruit all cut and ready to eat. This is what I had for lunch today and I had veggies with my supper tonight.

Stocked up yesterday 3 years ago

I stocked up on apples, mixed melon, strawberries, and bananas at the grocery store yesterday. Now I need to make sure and eat them! I even bought more brocoli and carrots.



Friuts are much easier to get into the habit of 3 years ago

I’m finding that having a lot of friut in the house is going over very well with my husband. He is really liking it. This helps my situation a lot. Now I just need to keep the fridge well stocked.

Added carrots and broccoli to my supper menu tonight. Little by little I think I can change my evil ways.

Well, last night I had broccoli with my supper for the first time ever. I steamed four large heads and put a little light cheese whiz on them (like they do in the commercial). I wasn’t bad at all! I was really surprised. We had baked chicken and potato.
