2 x miles with 800 rests. 1 1/2 warm up, 1 warmdown. 5 miles totla. Chief Sealth track.

Had planned on doing 3 one mile repeats, but I went faster than I thought I was going to go. Even with an extra lap of recovery, two was enough for the first track practice of the year.
Pushed at the end of the second and was mentally done, but after doing 2 laps I was ready for a third mentally and aerobically. My legs and feet in particularly felt heavy and I thought I shouldn’t push it on the first day back on the track.
68 degrees today here in Seattle, clears skies. The news said it was a record high!

1 1/2 hours of Goaltimate. Nice to get out and run around on such a gorgeous day. Sunny and 55 degrees…and still muddy fields!

This week has been a bit of a setback. The previous 3 weeks I had run 3, 3 and 4 times. This week so far…zero. :(
Given that my only real opportunities to run are T/Th nights, during my lunch break, Sat after 7PM and Sun before 2PM (all the rest of the time I’m at work) and that a friend was in town from DC and I went to the (at least for another year Seattle) Sonics game to see local boy Will Conroy play for the Clippers last night, I guess it’s understandable not to have really run. Frustrating, though.
