I’ve done really well lately. I’ve walked all the way home the last three days that I’ve worked.
Since I’ve been walking farther and farther each day, it has occurred to me that walking to and from work is really the best part of my day. I listen to my music, work off the stress from my crappy job, and while away the time happily ensconced in my own imaginary little world.
What I need to remember to do now is stretch more often. I need to stretch in the morning and before going to bed. And perhaps I should invest in some glucosamine. I hate getting old…

I walked all the way home today. That’s about 5.4 miles. It only took me 1 hour and 15 min, which (depending on the bus schedule) is really only 15 min longer than bussing home. I walked halfway in this morning, too, so that’s another 2.5 miles. All told, that’s nearly 8 miles today.
Of course, I’m not going to be able to do that everyday. But I was really feeling it tonight, and I couldn’t just get on the bus and let that opportunity escape me. The problem is, it’s sort of addicting. I can’t spend all my time walking, much as I’d like to.
