And looking very interesting. I’ve got to do the whole swab thing this week and return it with my dna, then it takes about 4 weeks afterwards to get the results.

I finally did it. It’s been on my list for so long that I decided that it was time to cross this one off.
It’s an expensive luxury, but the whole family will find it interesting so I’m justifying it!

I haven’t signed up for the Genographic Project yet simply because I don’t have any spare cash at the moment. It costs about 50% of my current monthly social budget to enroll from Europe.
However, I did find an interesting (and free) tool on the internet. UCL have done research into surnames in Britain – looking at density by county, migration (using the censuses from 1881 & 1998), social ranking etc. Great idea.
