move to California

Been reading about Coachella, it was this weekend. I went 2 years ago and it was great. The scenery is so beautiful, palm trees, mountains, desert, ah it’s blissful.

Ah miss Cali again…

is one reason to NOT move to Cali. Woah.

Yesterday I received the following signs.

1. My friend Jon who has been in Europe for the past 3 months came by the store. He said he’s moving to LA to either go to UCLA or get a job.

2. My former co-worker called me back and said she thinks I should definitely move to LA. She has connections in the entertainment that we can leverage for networking and/or jobs.

3. I met a guy last night at meeting for Adventures of the Heart. He said, “So what’s stopping you from going?” I told him and said that’s nothing, do it!

4. I talked to my friend in Canada. He told me his story of how he went to seminary and how it all started with one step. From there God provided everything he needed.

When I think about this move I get so excited. I think about going to a completely new place. Sure Cali is expensive. Sure people are fake. Hey I live in Atlanta and let me tell you we’ve got more than our share of fakes here!

I think about all the opportunities there for me. I’m young. The only thing keeping me here is my house. Lord willing it will be sold by spring 2007. After that, the world is my oyster.

It was love at first sight when I visited Cali in 2000. I’ve been back 2 times since and each time I leave, not wanting to leave. Now I’m in a position where I’m looking for a new job. What is stopping me? I guess it’s the 2 rock bands I’m in. That’s it. I don’t have a girlfriend, kids or anything keeping me in Atlanta. I’m not clear on what to do. I don’t have a clear sign. I truly love southern Cali. Sure it’s expensive but does that matter? What do you think?
