God makes you a better person 2 years ago

And I need to be a better person. I believe the basics of Christianity…but I don’t follow his rules, or live the life. I don’t go to church, I swear, I am not at all what God wants me to be. But I can’t seem to keep trying. I would like to be able to say “I’m a Christian” and not get those ‘Oh, reeeeaaaalllly…???’ looks.
