live alone

I’ll keep this as I want to do this again so I can post an update or two after a while, but its SO much better than dealing with housemates, at least this first week has been.

I signed the lease & got my keys to my new studio yesterday. I still have one month left in my old place but once that’s done…. its DONE.

And the $h1t I’ve been finding in my current house in the past few weeks has made this move all the more satisfying.

Soon to be knocking this one, and 2 other things off the list!

Look at this crap. I walked into this scene when I got home from the gym.

1) The garbage. Ok, I realize she likes to use this as her personal garbage, but still… not only is there one of those frat party cups in the trash, theres a paper plate?!! WTF, did she eat dinner and poo it out in one massive step?

2) Once again the tp has not been put on the roller. I’m assuming its on the sink because the giant bottles of crap are on the back of the toilet. (This is where she usually puts the TP when she’s too lazy to put it on the roller, which is EVERY time)

3) WTF are those bottles doing there in the first place?

4) Over to the left you’ll see not only a hair dryer but also a smelly disc air freshener machine plugged in and sitting by the toilet. You may also notice a tag on one of the cords there. This tag says DON’T PUT ME NEAR WATER YOU DUMB BASTARD! Of course this is the perfect spot for electronics; plugged in and on the floor next to the toilet with a history of overflowing.

And all this from the person who refuses to leave the bath mat in the tub becuase… I don’t know. I still think that’s a sign of serious mental collapse.

She now refuses to let me use that bath mat AT ALL. Yes, she takes it out of the tub and into her bedroom.

I forgot to mention this one. We have a housewide ban on smoking in the house and one of us was smoking in the bathroom… I just love having that crap diffusing into my bedroom. (which is adjacent to the bathroom) It was doused before being tossed, but its disgusting and against a promise we all made together. If I was able to change this situation now, I would. I am going to, its just going to take some time.

Who takes a bath tub mat out of the tub every day? Pull it out, put it back, pull it out, put it back. This is a psychosis. So I say hey, if I buy a bath mat with the intention of leaving it in the tub the whole time, can we just leave it in there? The response was something along the lines of you can buy one of your own if you want to use when you shower, but I want to use mine. How the hell does that answer my question, or solve the dilemma? WTF???!!!!!

Ok, apparently I was being a little harsh. My other housemate says he knows a lot of other people who take their tub mat out after every shower, and that he doesn’t see this as prime evidence of a psychotic break from reality. I dunno… it seemd a little too obsessively anal to be anything but a serious detatchment from reality, but whatever. The point of the matter is that changes are being forced on my lifestyle without taking my opinion into consideration, and that to me is unforgivable.

I’ve got a lot of furniture that’s probably not going to fit a studio in Brooklyn or Queens. Looks like my parents are going to be getting some hand me downs!

Well, I might be tossing one sofa. It got snapped in the middle at one party we had. NO, NOT BY THAT! Dirty minds.

Besides, that little sofa is way too small, unless you’re shorter than 5’

I was pretty much out of the house the whole weekend, just coming back for sleep pretty much. The messy one was setting up for a BBQ. She got TONS and TONS of crap for this thing, more it seemed than we would have gotten for one of our major BBQ’s (30-50 ppl) and it was just taking up the entire kitchen. She swore up and down that it would all be taken care of and that she would clean up, and last night I came back home to a fcuking disaster. The fridge was PACKED with crap, no room for anything else. There were 2 tubs filled with drinks. Magic Hat? Blackened Voodoo? No, nothing at all good, just shite beer like Bud and Molson. Oh and tons of soda. And its all in the kitchen taking up space, along with enough plates and cups to cater to our overseas forces.

Yeah, I can see this getting cleaned up soon. NOT!

Far from it. I’m just tired of dealing with other people’s crap. Actually, its really just one person in particular. Its amazing how someone can be so selfish, and completely CLUELESS. Clueless like taking a hairdryer with a giant label stating its an electrocution hazzard to keep it near water, and leaving it plugged in, sitting by the floor next to the toilet that has a history of overflowing. Lets not even go into her dishes, and the cheese sculptures that are often baked into the ceramic.

She’s back ONE DAY from her trip to Vegas, and the bathroom garbage which was empty is totally full with crap, some of which should not even be in there. Not that it happened this time, but who puts things like empty milk containers in the bathroom garbage? And I mean like half gallon boxes, not your little cup size, normal serving containers. Not to mention the pint glasses she leaves on the bathroom window. I’m a messy guy, but DAMN! She makes me look neat by comparison!
