the plan 3 years ago

i think what i am going to do here is as follows:

i am going to record how many steps i take from the time i leave work to the time i get home from work ( my typical work day).

then, in order to achieve my goal of 10,000 steps daily, i am going to work myself up in a conistent manner…. such as adding for instance, 500 steps a day…until i am consistenly at 10,000.

maybe today, i will walk for 5 minutes ( like an actual walk) and tomorrow more than 5 and so on. i will update later when i get home to see how many steps i have walked.

see you in a couple of hours.

...and so it begins... 3 years ago

Without any formal exercise, I clocked in approximately 4,500 steps ( based upon the pedometer reading) at work alone ( this was from 8:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m.) I took the pedometer off once I got home, but would be interested in seeing how many steps I take from waking to sleeping in a given day. My schedule M-F is pretty consistent.

My goal of course is 10,000 steps a day. I currently am trying to keep my gym routine consistent with 3-5 times a week… but I would like to start walking on the days I do not go.

I do have a question though… should I wear the pedometer to my Curves/gym workout?
