I rarely stick to this goal. It needs to start becoming more natural to me. I am stopping the soda … increasing the water. I can do it. I just keep forgetting.

Operation: Increasing H20 intake t-6 hours

I just posted an entry that starting tomorrow, I will be replacing my diet coke drinking with water drinking. Although there are days when I can/do drink plenty of water, there are also days when I don’t drink any water at all or have far too much soda. As I am on a mission to become healthier and lose weight … decreasing my soda intake and increasing my water intake go hand in hand. I have had a bottle of water today but I have also had soda. As of tomorrow morning when I wake up, it will be all about the water.

I hear so many variations on how much water you are supposed to have. 8 glasses a day of 8 oz. (64 oz). Some say 10-12 glasses. Some say half your body weight. How much water is too much water?

drinking schedule

about 21 days ago i started watching the amount of water i was drinking in a day. i had to make a conscious effort to bring bottles with me to work and drink them etc.

monday-friday i am drinking 12 eight-ounce glasses of water ( technically, 4 trader joes sports top water bottles).

i drink one bottle by 9:45 a.m.
i drink one bottle by 12:00 p.m.
i drink one bottle by 2:30 p.m.
i drink one bottle by 5:30 p.m

the tough part is this….. on saturdays and sundays my schedule is totally different and thrown off, so my water intake is much lower. once i can consistently drink water on the weekends just like i do on the weekdays, i will consider this goal met.

water makes me thirsty

i have been drinking 9 glasses of water a day, every day, for 2 weeks ( between the hours of 8:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.) and sometimes a couple more glasses in the afternoon and night.

i don’t feel like i am pushing myself to drink it. it just seems natural to me.

i take 3 bottles with me in the morning when i leave for work ( each bottle is equivalent to 3 glasses—- it is a 25 ounce bottle) and drink them all while at work.

this is going well.

what is considered too much water?

so for about a week i have been drinking my 8 glasses of water a day. i find, the more i drink, the thirstier i get… which makes drinking water easier than i thought.

yesterday, i drank a gallon of water ( about 16 eight-ounce glasses). is that too much?

agua por favor

prior to documenting the amount of water i drank in a day…. i noticed sometimes i would go days without any water… i really means days ( like 3-4).

my goal of course is to consistently drink my 8 glasses a day a.k.a. ( 64 ounces).
