I’ve tried to do this before for Lent and I know friends who have done it for demonstrations. I just can’t go to bed super hungry! But I think if I did it for a cause/religious reasons and prepared myself I might be able to do it. Having extra motivation like friends who are willing to try it with me would help too. There are just so many modern distractions that make meditation and reflection difficult today. Plus I need energy for work—maybe during the holidays or on a weekend I might test my willpower :)
