Future Tattoo(s)

Future Tattoos in order that I will probably get them:

1. Planning to get a matching tattoo with my boyfriend this summer, but not something like our names so that if we break up we would regret getting the tattoo. I am interested in matching tattoos on the wrist, my left and his right (so when we hold hands they will be matching, duh). One idea was a wavy music staff “bracelet” around the wrist with music notes. We both enjoy making and listening to music a lot. Another idea is just a chain “bracelet” or simple design. Or one of us would have a key and the other a lock, etc. Still in process of brainstorming.

2. I am interested in a pair of wings or feathers. Not the kind that take up the whole back as I have seen, although I do think that looks cool props. Maybe a small set on my wrist. Have also contemplated the idea of having two small wings on sides of my stomach starting from below waist line and going up. However I already have my scratch mark tattoo around there so not sure about that. Might also combine somehow as a matching tattoo w/bf in #1.

3. Planning a possible matching tattoo with two of my childhood friends after they turn 18. Possibly a face of a tiger or a cartoon tiger representing this childhood club we had when we were younger “The Tiger Club”. haha. Location: Probably on wrist or ankle. Less sure about this one happening.

Scratch Marks

At first I was thinking about getting the scarlet letter “A” on my chest but after thinking about it for a while, I wondered if I would really want to remember my mistakes for the rest of my life. I decided if I ever did get a tattoo it would be for myself.

In Jan ‘08 I got a set of scratch marks below my hip. No deep, theological reason, it just came to me one night and stuck.

A lot of people thought I would chicken out but I had my mind set. Honestly it did not hurt at all like I thought it would, or people were making it out to be. Yeah, it hurts, but it’s not the worst pain, and after a few minutes of clenching my teeth and realizing it wasn’t going to get worse, I started looking around the room and laughing and having a good time.

After it was done, just had to make sure to put a lot of lotion on it for the next two-ish weeks. And if it looks like it’s peeling off, don’t pick at it! It’s the color and if you mess with it then your tattoo is going to have light spots on it where you peeled it off.
