Jacob I Have Loved-I was nervous about reading this because my Dad (a former elementary school librarian) always said that this was the one Newbery he DID NOT like and could never get through it. I ended up liking it very much.

A Gathering of Days: A New England Girl’s Journal 1830-1832
Summer of the Swans

Criss Cross—I really liked this one

Dicey’s Song

A Visit to William Blake’s Inn: Poems for Innocent and Experienced Travelers—-

I have to say that this is my least favorite so far. I liked the poetry of “Joyful Noise”, but this one…not so much.

The Whipping Boy—-quick book, could be read easily in an hour or so.

I can now add to my list... 12 months ago
