Read the entire Bible and understand it.

I’m not sure what to think of the Bible. Everytime I read it I’m not sure if I should take it literally at the word, or think of it as metaphors and what not. I don’t even know how to accept it. Some of these stories are so old, who is to say for sure that what is being wrote and told is true? To me it’s like when you tell someone a story. That person will retell it, but they can tell it differently and take out some things or add certain events, and in the end after so many people have told the story it has been modified so many times it’s not even true. I find all the stories hard to believe. And I don’t know how this affects me. I want to read it and understand and be educated on this book so I can make choices and decisions for myself but I don’t know how to take it. I suppose I should just start reading and see what happens.
