write a fantasy novel

I know it’s no excuse, but ever since we got hit with this heat wave my office has been unsufferable. I’ve been writing Chapter 16 since Friday… that is unlike me. Today I managed about 120 words and now I’m procrastinating again. I am goaling to have this finished by August 31st. I’m in a panic now as I wonder how much time I’ve flushed away this week. AHH!

since I posted this as a goal, actually starting just around May 21st, I embarked on this great journey and have since reached 50,000 words, twelve chapters and a fantasy environment that I look forward to lingering with every new chapter. I’m very excited about this.

to write a fantasy short story I’m actually satisfied with… Every time I write a short story, I feel it is lacking. I’m never satisfied with it enough to even consider sending it out somewhere for publication. Maybe that’s just me though. I should have more confidence in myself and my work. It’s just really frustrating sometimes to read your own work and not think it’s absolute trash.
