save more money

my car batter died because I left my lights on. Instead of being pissed about it i realized it just helped me on one of my goals. If I can’t drive anywhere then I can’t spend money and don’t waste gas…bingo! I saved about $20 today because i know I would have bought a cd or something! Thank you God for letting me be forgetful and leave my lights on :)

My goal is $1500 by December…September: $500; October: $500; November: $500….no more pub crawling and shopping for me :( Bummer…

I am in the Air Force and do not save any money!! Ya’ll will hate me for this, but i do not have a car payment (dad gave me a 95 pathfinder when i left for AF and it is paid off), my dad pays my insurance, i live in the dorms…so pretty much the only bills i have are cell phone ($60) and phone line ($20). Somehow I manage to spend all my money each paycheck and it is getting ridiculous. I’ve had a career for 2 years and nothing to show for it but a closet stuffed w/ clothes and a lot of drunken pictures!! I’ve decided the best way to save money is to just not leave my room…saves gas $$ and beer $$. I plan to save $500 a month… $250 a paycheck…this leaves me with $350 per 2 weeks…so pretty much if i can’t do this then I am absolutely pathetic!! If you see me at the bar in spokane, WA buy me a drink cause i’m on a budget!
