back when my life was entirely different. I was planning to do things like make sure my IRA and hubby’s were funded to the max, then save a little on top of that so that Nick would not have to take that retirement job he always joked about—bagging groceries at Kroger.
Now, life is more uncertain, and I just feel fortunate that we are both alive and that dear Nick may actually live to see retirement age.
So, speaking of retirement, it is time to retire this goal and start a new one that involves being able to fund the life we now have.

My dh and I also have pared back to one health care plan instead of double coverage. That should practically cover his increase in retirement savings. We will just have to absorb mine.
