5. Looked at students’ work online
6. Sent students messages online
7. Called someone about sending a rep from a student organization to speak to my class for a few minutes
8. Scooba’d and Roomba’d floors

Thursday, I felt strong and capable. It was a good feeling. I did the following:
1. set up haircut appointments for me and Nick
2. put refills in the air fresheners
3. researched some software our division might need, talked to division chair and sent info to her
4. cleaned/maintained pool
5. took Nick & caregiver to movies
6. changed light bulb in kitchen
7. called my friend O
8. paid bills (still more checks to write)
9. canceled automatic coffee shipments
10. put out my ghostly Halloween candles

Today, the basics are these:

1. attend S’s cousin’s funeral
2. mail some bills off
3. send emails to peeps visiting tonight
4. go to grocery store

Yay, yay, I am on Fall Break! When I would usually be teaching my classes, I will be sitting in a cool, dark theater, smelling the popcorn and watching Surrogate. Sci-fi, Bruce Willis, and my honey beside me in the dark. What more could I ask?

If I do anything serious today, it will be writing checks for my bills. But I am officially on holiday.
