Fireflies: Too cold here? 3 years ago

I live in Saskatchewan, so maybe it’s too cold here for fireflies. But I’ve seen them on TV and my friend in Chicago has all kinds of warm fuzzy childhood memories about them. (The only warm fuzzy memories I have of them are from playing Harvest Moon 64.) They are such a romanticized bug. I have to see them someday. =D
