Participated in the Singelloop (6,6km local run)

So I did it! Together with some friends last friday I participated in a local run in Leiden. There were a lot of other participant ( more then 3.000 , I think ) and we started as the last 100 because we got there kinda late.

I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to run the whole course. But all went very well and had a lot of fun. Didn’t even have to stop to catch my breath and even did the final sprint against a friend ( crazy dodging all those people who were tired at the end :).

Managed to get a time of 37 minutes so I’m very proud of myself !



Almost time for the big run!

Yesterday did some running in the morning before breakfast. It was very hard to get out of bed to do this. Somehow I had more energy to run that morning then in the evening, weird.

Tomorrow will be the “big” run. The Singelloop in Leiden ( 6,6 km ) which I will run with a couple of friends. Haven’t ran that long for a while.

Did mountainbiking

Went mountainbiking with a friend. But first we had to bike to the track which was 20km, then 2 awesome offroad mountainbiking tracks in the dutch dunes (weather was great too) and finally 20km back.

Was pretty exhausting :) but had a lot of fun and a new experience. And I’m pretty sure it was healthy someway too!



Decided to participate in a local run

In 3 weeks there will be a local run here in the city which will be 6.5 km long. Thanks to a friend I have decided to participate in this event, so I’ll have to start running more otherwise I won’t even make the finish.

- Yesterday I did some running : 2,6km
- Today I did some running 2,5 km
( I am glad we had very nice weather )

Still with some little breathing break in between so there is room for improvement.



Getting in better shape

I have always been on the lower side of the weight scale, just above unhealthily skinny I guess ( 67kg, 183cm, 0 body fat ). I wouldn’t mind being a bit more fat, or being more muscular. And my endurance is really low so I want to improve that too.

So I am eating more by trying to have breakfast everyday. And I am trying to participate my taekwondo lessons and do some exercises at home to build endurance and muscles.
I hope this is gonna work out.
