November last year my sister called me because she had a laptop from which the internet no longer worked. Since I’m kinda the pc fix dude in the family I told her that I would take a look at it.
So I took it home and check and noticed it needed a format. I didn’t have any CD/OS CD/Drivers so it would take me a long time to get it working again. Shameful to say I put off on fixing it for a long time. In the mean time my sister even bought a new laptop cause she wasn’t expecting it to get fixed (feeling guilty about this).
Yesterday I manager to get all the requirements together. Backing up her old files and formatting the laptop was done in no time. The thing that took like 6 hours was finding the right drivers ( pc manufacturers should really put the RIGHT drivers on their site jeez…) and installing them. But now I finally got it working again, everything is functioning perfectly and it’s faster then ever.
I’m glad that it’s working again, but what do I do now? I mean she bought a new one already. Is she going to get mad at me for suddenly turning up with her old fixed laptop. Not so sure what do with it, but still it is hers …
