be a wife

I am not a wife, but many of my friends are married (happily or unhappily – whatever may be the case). I know that I, like other women, am attracted to the prospect of having the pretty ring and perfect wedding day, but what those friends of mine did not realize is that marriage continues on after the ceremony. Time does not stop to create a perfect bubble for the newly married couple. They had to learn to compromise, to adjust to becoming wives and husbands, and from their experiences I feel that I have learned about some of the qualities I do and do not want to have as a wife.
