Was it mid-life crisis or just a great deal that I couldn’t pass up? (Or can I admit that I always wanted to own a Harley and didn’t believe I would ever be able to afford one?) Regardless, a couple years ago I bought a second hand Electra-Glide from someone at work. It’s a massive bike, which is exactly what I had been looking for, but I’m finding that in practice, it’s a bit TOO big for me to feel comfortable on right off the bat. I’m sure that if I just took it around the block every day, I’d get used to it. Maybe that’d be too boring. Maybe what I really want to do is put 100 miles on it before the end of July. Then it’ll REALLY be mine.
